Our Program Sites and Expansion Centers
Expansion sites are medium we use to expand our programs throughout Liberia.
Youth in most areas are very receptive to change and they get in the forefront
when they are trained and given responsibility to lead.
In an effort to promote our programs throughout the country, we spread our wings
to different communities in different parts of Liberia. Liberia is divided into
counties and some of those counties do not have, to the simplest, farm-to-market
roads, which makes it very difficult to access youth within those areas.
However, our sites or expansion programs allows us to get in touch with active
youth within those areas and give them our idea about youth led development
initiatives through Youth Crime Watch program. In most cases, they accept and
start work within their community after acquiring training in one or more of our
nine components.
Once they have gotten the training, they get support from us in terms of program
plans and organization. We monitor their activities through our National Site
Coordinator from our headquarters and ensure we are all on the same track even
though we embark on different programs at different times.
Currently, Youth Crime Watch of Liberia has sites in high schools, universities
and communities in and Monrovia and Bong County. The most active ones include:
AME University, UM University, Phebe Community Lutheran School (Bong County),
William Booth High School, St. Kizito Catholic School as well as Paynesville
branch. You can view reports from these branches on the Report page.
