In a significant development, Youth Crime Watch of Liberia announced a strategic partnership with EDC (Education Development Center) with funding support from USAID to implement a transformative livelihood development program for 300 Liberian youth in Grand Bassa and Montserrado Counties. This collaboration falls under ‘The Youth Activity’ (TYA) Project, an initiative designed to empower and uplift young learners by enhancing their literacy, numeracy, work readiness, and life skills.

‘The Youth Activity’ Project is making a profound impact on the lives of Liberian youth who have never had the opportunity to attend school or have been out of the education system for an extended period. Through this initiative, these young individuals gain access to the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in their personal and professional lives. The partnership between Youth Crime Watch of Liberia and EDC/USAID represents a crucial step toward improving the prospects of these youth, providing them with tools for self-sufficiency, and enabling them to participate actively in the economic and social development of their communities.

Liberia’s youth are set to benefit from this transformative initiative, as it seeks to empower them with the education, skills, and resources necessary to secure a better future. Youth Crime Watch of Liberia is enthusiastic about being a part of this project and looks forward to the positive impact it will have on the lives of the youth in Grand Bassa and Montserrado Counties.

Acting Executive Director of Youth Crime Watch of Liberia said that this collaboration stands as a testament to the commitment of our organizations like the Youth Crime Watch of Liberia, EDC/USAID, and the Liberian government to empower and uplift the youth, paving the way for a brighter, more prosperous future.
