YCWL

Youth Crime Watch of Liberia (YCWL) continues to implement its Inclusive Skills Training Programme in Lofa, Montserrado, and Nimba Counties under the Liberia Spotlight Initiative 2.0, a Government of Liberia project led by the Ministry of Gender and funded by the European Union through UN Women.

The ongoing training is providing participants with opportunities to develop practical skills, strengthen their livelihoods, build confidence, and work toward greater economic independence. Participants are engaging in the learning process with enthusiasm and determination, demonstrating the importance of inclusive skills development in creating opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.

Who the programme serves

The programme prioritizes women and girls in vulnerable and marginalized situations, including survivors of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), former traditional practitioners, and other at-risk individuals. It promotes equal access to learning opportunities in safe, supportive, and inclusive environments where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

Leaving no one behind

Guided by the principles of Leaving No One Behind and Do No Harm, YCWL remains committed to reducing barriers to skills development, challenging stigma and discrimination, promoting gender equality, and strengthening the economic empowerment of women and girls.

Pathways to self-reliance

Through this initiative, YCWL continues to support efforts to prevent violence against women and girls while creating pathways toward self-reliance, inclusion, and improved livelihoods across the three counties.

Together, we are building skills, restoring hope, empowering lives, and creating opportunities for everyone to thrive.
